Police shooting that wounded Somali Refugee ruled justified

SALT LAKE CITY: Utah Prosecutor ruled justified the police shooting that wounded a 17 years old Somali refugee at the beginning of this year.

Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill said officers acted accordingly when they wounded Abdi Mohamed because police realized Abdi was about subject a serious injury or kill another citizen with a metal stick.

The teen was shot two times in the torso on late  Feb of this year, the shooting sparked unrest and protests in Salt Lake City.

The Teen has recovered from his wounds and now lives with his family in UTAH.
