UN to launch 2018 humanitarian response plan for Somalia

MOGADISHU, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) — The United Nations agencies working in Somalia will next week launch the 2018 Humanitarian Response Plan which outlines the humanitarian situation and priorities for response throughout the country.

Turkey, Somalia sign economic partnership pact

ANKARA 

Turkey and Somalia on Friday signed a pact to boost their strategic economic partnership.

“We wish to deepen relations with Somalia. Turkey’s investment in Somalia stands at over $100 million,” Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Recep Akdag told a signing ceremony alongside his Somali counterpart Mahdi Mohammed Gulaid.
